I met with my first tutee today Rashad from Kuwait. Rashad has been in America for eight months already and has visited Orlando, Tampa and Miami. He said he felt like his English was very good in Miami because it was most peoples second language as well and they did not speak as well as he did. Rashads under graduate degree is in political science. He wants to gets his masters in international affairs. I asked him if getting his bachelors was hard. He said no, that growing all around him was political science. It was always on the radio, TV and newspapers.

Rashad is already in the work force in Kuwait. He works for ministry of finance. When he is not working he does enjoy soccer and more exciting activities like skydiving. He showed me a picture on his iPhone of him paragliding off a mountain in Geneva Switzerland. You can really see the fulfillment of life in his eyes in the picture. 
It seems everybody has a car in Kuwait and the buses and trains are only for the tourists and lower level workers. Although he did say traffic was beginning to be a problem and they need more people to use public transportation.

Indian and Italian food are some his favorite culinary pleasures. Asian food does not seem to like his palate so he stays away from it.  Prison Break on Netflix can consume 4 to 5 hours a day of Rashads time as he says once you start watching this suspenseful series you cannot stop watching it.

I am looking forward to Helping Rashad as much as I can while he is here. He has taking TOEFL several times and each score was better than the first.
